Despite this being a pretty fun turn-based tactical game, every possible tactical consideration is ultimately subordinate to a very artificial and MMO-like pod management mini-game. The big problem with that mechanic is how it interacts with the whole pod activation thing, I think. I like the mod that disables timers while your squad is still in stealth, though I wouldn't mind getting rid of them entirely either.
